Coming soon will be a series of conversations with a group of baristas. Like most consultants, we spend an infinite amount of time at a coffee shop. I do not know where you sip. Maybe it is a major chain. There is one which comes to mind, If you know me, I have a very specific opinion about them. Maybe, you just get the coffee and go. Or maybe you like to settle in with a cup of joe at a local hangout just down the street or downtown. That would be me. The fun part is the relationships which are created when the settling in becomes a daily habit. When a barista asks about your family by name or about the business trip you took three days ago, you know you have created a bond.
So they will be sharing some of their thoughts about customer service, the interaction process, management, good and bad days and the art of making a good cup of coffee. I look forward to our upcoming conversations. I am not sure where they will go, but the journey is most of the fun.
